    I got the original version of this spam some time ago from my Uncle Dennis (Operations Specialist 1st Class, Retired) where the political mumbo-jumbo was stated as Osama bin Laden, al Quaida, and terrorists, and the conservative American was replaced with American Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, or Airmen. I think it was less annoying (even as spam) in its original incarnation.
