The scene is the back seat of our parents' black 1950 Buick Special. in about 1953-54? We were traveling US 81 headed to Waco, TX. Mary Sue, my late sister, was probably eight and I would've been eleven. To OUR (but not our parents') amusement, we kept repeatedly singing(?), "Woke up this mornin', looked up on the wall... The skeeters and the bedbugs were playin' a game of ball...The score was six to nuthin', the skeeters were ahead. The bedbugs hit a homer, and knocked me outta bed." After about twenty miles our hineys were threatened, "If you don't stop that------ right now!!!" You know what? We BELIEVED 'em. My question to you folks, "Do you know any more of the lyrics?"
