Some say Hillary Clinton is. I say Nancy Pelosi because of how she stands on so many things, she's too far out in left field. What say you?

  • GOP cannot do any more harm, right. Today the Health Secretary, Sebelius said the first to be enrolled in the 'New Health Care System' would be those that would be eligible for Medicaid, the rest which I presumed the people that work and pay taxes would not be eligible for years, so that makes sense, right!

  • A usual this is where we part, and why did it take so long?

The speaker of the house is held in check by the president’s approval ratings and the 45 blue dog(conservative ) democrats, right now. She is a right wing boogie woman as Newt Gingrich was to the left. Dangerous is subjective.

Hillary made her mark by winning New York State as a carpetbagger. Her friendship with the Jewish Committee in New York goes a long way. Hillary is very much in line with the Obama administration ,who has several powerful envoys that make up the State Dept. The presidential debates proved that she was a policy wonk and not a shrinking violet. What makes her strong is that world leaders knows she is speaking for the administration. She is not a puppet.

Back to normal; a full 180 degrees from your opinion.:-)

  • Mike..."The GOP are in a position where they cannot do any more harm"

I agree with that statement completelyl. However, I do believe, regardless of gender, Pelosi is a very dangerous PERSON to have the power she has. As for as Hillary, I don't think she's all that effective. I think people around the world look at her and remember what Bill did and she took it. I think that around the world, she's considered weak for that, As much as I don't trust BO in the Oval Office, I'm glad it's not Hillary sitting behind that desk.

  • So true, Wayward but you think this is a sexist question, or even a loaded question, especially since will only have two powerful women in Washington?…. I think republicans are still scared of intelligent women.

I would bet if you would ask “Who are the most dangerous men in Washington?” it would be any democrat holding office…. The GOP are in a position where they cannot do any more harm

  • Mike...You're welcome. What are friends for if you can't use them once in a while?

  • Thanks Wayward
I know I can depend on you to correct my mistakes...:-)

  • Mike..."can you name a president that dumped vice- president.. Maybe it happened, I don’t know."

FDR had three vice-presidents -- John Nance Garner, Henry A. Wallace and Harry Truman. As to why there were so many, I'm not sure if FDR dumped them or they just wanted out. I do know that Garner said the Veep job wasn't worth a pitcher of warm spit. Changing the number two spot on the ticket didn't seem to hurt FDR -- HE was elected four times.

  • Neither one of them is dangerous!

  • Rusty, what is distrubing about her position, she is only two lives away from being President.

Dang, I need to read Mike's comments again, I believe I actual agree with him twice this week. No, just joking, I enjoy and respect his blogs and comments--they help to keep both of us on our toes. Good comment Mike.

  • Despite the conspiracy theories ,BigJ.

Barack Obama feels very comfortable with Joe Biden at his side and can you name a president that dumped vice- president.. Maybe it happened, I don’t know.

Think about this… The presidential candidate first decision is to pick a vice president..Would Barack Obama want to answer to the press, day after day, as to the reason he let go of Joe Biden?
The press would ask questions like: Was your very first decision, a wrong one?…. What was wrong with Joe Biden? Joe Biden has a lot of pull; would Obama really want to upset the apple cart?
I believe Hillary is doing a great job as Secretary of State and her presidential aspirations have left her, and she sees people like Senator Jim Webb, ex-Governor Warner, and Governor Tim Kaine on the horizon…. Democrats don’t normally give presidential candidates a do over.

  • BigJ, bless your heart. It just isn't that simple. There are political machines in place that are funded by people not just powerful in the USA, but the world. Trust me, this past election was just a trial run for Hillary. Too many Bill memories-not politics-personal. The best defense against these machines is voting against the status quo, whatever it is. 2010, 2010,2010.

  • I would take Hillary over Obama in a heartbeat. She scares the hell out of me but I believe she cares enough about America not to try and turn it into a socialist nation. Pelosi is an idiot, just plain and simple and the quicker we can get her out of the federal government the better.

  • Pelosi is will be too old in 8 years and Hillary's testosterone levels will be too low by then!

    June 15, 2009 at 2:19 p.m.

  • I think the whole group is dangerous. Hillary is being groomed to run after Obama's 8-God forbid. Obama is just a little jealous of this fact, hence the agenda. They all live in la-la land and are mostly representative of equal rights for women at this time. I almost think that the dems put Pelosi in this spot, so she would self destruct. I think Pelosi just doesn't have Hillary's IQ. It is as simple as that. I can't understand the mistakes that continue to come out of Pelosi's mouth. As least Hillary is aware of the ramifications of er... foot in mouth, thanks to Bill's great examples. The dems want control for the next 2 decades, but the tax increases will be their own downfall, as it was for the republicans. And the ----goes round and round.
