May 14, 2009 at 7:34 a.m.I heard about one person here in Victoria that was going to open a restaurant with her scam millions! I can only laugh and wonder when I read or hear about the people that think they won something like that! In these times I don't see how anyone has not heard about these scams!
May 14, 2009 at 7:17 a.m.I have won trillions of dollars from Nigeria! I usually reply to their e-mail and tell a few choice things about where they can put that money in their' African mother's body orifice! One scammer e-mailed me back and said he couldn't believe I was talking bad about his mother! Those scammers are everywhere! The internet is one big scam! There is nothing free anywhere!
May 14, 2009 at 7:11 a.m.Yeah, well heres the thing... for every person who realizes its a scam there are 5 morons who don't. It's not hard to find a complete idiot anywhere you look. I mean they are all over the Advocate's blogs too.
May 14, 2009 at 6:50 a.m.I watched a program on Dateline recently and was amazed at the people who fall for this. People can be so naive and desperate at times, I guess they will try anything. Anyway, the scam artists were laughing about how stupid the Americans were so yep - they do think we're stupid!! And they are making lots of money.
May 13, 2009 at 10:10 p.m.I get many of those from Nigeria and places like that overseas!
May 13, 2009 at 9:46 p.m.I read them, block them, and move on.
Legion357,
A lot of Americans are that stupid. That is why the emails keep coming, because it plays on one very big American trait which is: Greed. People are continously falling for these phishing scams.
May 13, 2009 at 9:03 p.m.I've gotten a couple of those.... I did save mine! In the last one I got, it ended: "the FBI is Watching"
May 13, 2009 at 8:49 p.m.LOL, I have received two e-mails claiming to be from the FBI, concerning my unclaimed funds (in the amount of $5 M or so).
But I'm not suppose to mention it to anyone, only to some person with a UK e-mail addy, LOL
OF course I'm suppose to send my name, account #, ABA # ect.
And it will only cost me $200, LOL, and it came from R. Mueller himself, Director of the FBI, LOL.
Wish I would have saved them but they came into my junk mail, read em, lmao and deleted em.
Do these people really think Americans are that stupid?
Well I guess some of us are or the wouldn't do it. lol
