WE FOUND this news item at http://thegrey-beardloon.blogspot.com/. Among the outrageous claims this gal made in court during her fraud trial she claimed to be a fundamentalist Christian and doesn't drink. I wouldn 't slam an outhouse door as hard as she slammed Christ by that goofy statement. After screwing HUD and dozens of cash strapped clients out of some $4 MM, causing then to lose their homes they'd bought from her family business, not being a drinker is really some "good personal quality", don't you think? Crap like that makes you want to go to her church, huh? Folks who claim to be Christians need to be careful not to jeopardize what little credibility they might wish to have. FT; 'love 'em, not legalize 'em" means show someone that you genuine care about them and don't go around spoutin' legalistic manmade rules some churchy idiots made up to suit themselves. Like tellin' people they're goin' to hell for: dancin', smokin', drinkin', not wearin' their hair up in a certain way, not wearin' dresses that button all the way up to their chins, not wearing long sleeves or skirts down to their shoetops, not having anything to do with anyone who violates one of YOUR rules. Some nuts say members of the opposite sex can't go swimmin' together -- even if they're married to each other.

May 21, 2009 at 10:44 a.m.FT; Also, one reason so many CHRISTIANS do things differently is their being subjected to so many goofybutted teachings. Alot of which are manmade legalistic, dogmatic, authoritarian, and just plain bull flop. "Fundamentalists" are among the worst I've encountered just like that gal in the original post on this string. A slogan that makes sense is, "LOVE 'em , don't LEGALIZE 'em." It's how we LIVE that'll reach others, not all the sanctimonious BS we SAY."
May 20, 2009 at 4:17 p.m.FT: That's the very reason Rusty refuses to put JESUS or sign-of-the-fish bumper stickers on his vehicle. He doesn't want anyone seeing him doing something stupid and saying, "That A-hole claims to be a Christian and still pulls dumb crap like that?" Please consider this: Christians are in various stages of maturity toward what God wants them to be. They might be pretty solid in some parts of their lives while are really shakey in others. That's the reason for the button "PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH ME, GOD'S NOT THROUGH WITH ME YET." What we'll be held accountable for isn't how others ACT toward us but how we REACT toward them. One reason I usually keep out of many of the discussions on here is so as not to prove what a butthole everyone thinks I am.

Right on Rusty. There is no sinness. Stealing is stealing. Honesty is always the best policy. Wish I could get the youngest to understand that. It will eventually catch up with him, if it hasn't already.
May 20, 2009 at 10:46 a.m."Folks who claim to be Christians need to be careful not to jeopardize what little crediblity they might wish to have." Now I'll buy that. People are always playing the "God card" and thinking they can get away with something.
