Yes. Spending our time praying to God is going to help us out more so than devoting that time to thinking of earthly ways to get out of it.
December 1, 2009 at 10:15 a.m.Chris posted: "Should you ask for help getting out of a situation you created?"
NO... You should look at the situation and "ask" yourself... "Why did I allow myself to create this???"
THEN and only then, should you, if you are a believer and NEED too (depending the situation), fall on your knees and pray...
Creation was intended, for those of us who believe in it, to bring to life; what we want...what we desire...and what we need. God created us to use these gifts and "create" LIFE! Be it a good choice or bad, YOU have the POWER to create your own life. Use it. And, know in your heart your doing your "life" right!
Or, know in your heart your not, and "change it!"
November 30, 2009 at 1:03 p.m.If someone knows we are going to make a big mistake and let's us do it then why call them God? If someone knows our action is going to cause harm to ourself or others and they can stop it from happening and they still allow it to happen how are they not a monster? COOLGRANNY: I just now read your comment about the Laminin cross. There are lots of possibilities. Send me me an email with any suggestions you may have. I've already started thinking up wire combinations and wondering where and what rocks to use. Have Argentium silver and sterling silver, copper, filled gold is costly so won't experiment with it yet. How large a cross were you thinking about? Would your hubby allow us to talk on the phone? Hugs

Man, I wish I could be there. I really want to see your jewelry. I also have a design I would like to throw your way. Laminen cross. One of these days I will be in the same town as one of the shows.

Definitely. The Lord knows way ahead of time when we will make mistakes, and He waits patiently for us to ask for forgiveness. Will the prayer get us out of the jam, not likely. The consequences of living this earthly life are still going to happen. Our lives here are temporary, but our heavenly life is forever. We can always pray to ask for the strength to get us through the mess we have made so far, and then ask for wisdom not to repeat our past mistakes. I do that a lot.
November 29, 2009 at 5:40 p.m.This was a "Voices of Faith" feature on E3 from our MCT wire service. The title actually was "Should you ask for help getting out of a situation you created?" Hope that helps. We don't post wire stories from the print edition. Rather, wire stories flow to the Web site as they become available 24/7. In this way, the wire stories are fresh around the clock.
November 29, 2009 at 2:40 p.m.I also missed it. Did it run under the picture with the lady wearing a duck on her head?
SHOULD we pray? Is that a poll? Of COURSE we should pray!
November 29, 2009 at 1:23 p.m.I couldn't find the article on-line and I've already tossed the saturday rag. Sorry.
November 29, 2009 at 8:59 a.m.All I can say is that the Sunday edition ahd an article about emerging Athiests on campus. The "closet" is getting emptier andm emptier!!
