Winning isn't everything?!?!

Try telling that to any of the High School or college teams that are routinely in the top ten in any sport. This is the day of million dollar contracts, high expectations from the alumni, and ESPN telling everyone how badly you played.

Bobby Knight was a jerk, no question about it. I think if we could have an open discussion with former players, we would all understand. He did the right thing by saying no..

Given his proclivity for rudeness and foul language-which is why he got punted-I can't imagine why the offer was extended. Winning is NOT everything at least at the ameteur level.

I worked for my former employer for 18 years, but then left after being screwed to the nines by the corporate hacks in charge. I've been asked back, but flatly am not interested. I'll sell pencils on the street corner before I'd have anything to do with them.

With that in mind, I like Bobby's decision. They fired him in a fit of "political correctness" and don't deserve his attention.

BTW, IMO, Bobby Knight is still a jerk.
