Four Advocate-area collegiate golfers had top-10 finishes this week. Memorial grad Kelley Louth tied for second at the Indiana Invitational. The Texas senior shot an 80-73-76-229 to help the Longhorns finish third. Another Memorial grad, Laura Baker, finished tied for ninth at the Lady Mocs Invitational. the UTSA senior shot an 83. St. Edward's senior Emily Kvinta tied for sixth at the Grand Canyon Invitational. The former Yoakum standout carded a 74-79-153. On the men's side, UT-Tyler's Travis Johnson of El Campo, finished third at the LeTourneau Spring Classic after posting rounds of 80-74-76-230. Memorial grad Jennifer King tied for 13th with a 98-87-185 for UT-Tyler at the LeTourneau Spring classic, while Yoakum grad Hope Koenning finished in 16th place for Mary Hardin-Baylor with a 96-91-187. St. Joseph grad Eric Westerman shot an 84-78-71-233 to tie for 55th for Texas A&M-Commerce at the Kickingbird Golf Classic and Bay City grad Matt Qualls shot an 80-77-80-237 for McMurry to tie for 32nd at the West Region Invitational.
