  • After taking my kids to school this morning, because they missed the bus in Mission Valley...I noticed that the traffic going into the campus(s) West & Cade...It wasn't too bad...but I was only dropping off and going back home. I did notice there was a build up of traffic, people leaving the campus area to go to work, and the busses going into town. Having only one entrance/exit to 2 campuses and 1 traffic light is the problem. It's ridiculous and my 13 year old could have designed that better.
The MAJOR traffic congestion is AFTERSCHOOL! OMG! 30 minute time delay is NOT enough for that mess! Picking up my child was easier at Patti Welder, seems that uncontrolled chaos is easier and faster than controlled chaos! There is only 1 way to elieviate congestion...there needs to be another entrance/exit!

  • This is just some of my feedback from raising children.

I like the idea of high schools starting later. This will help with the swing many older students have toward being at their best later in the day.

Elementary schools starting at 7:30 helps working parents. It is easier to get after school care than before school care. Since many parents have to be at work by 8, this gives them time. However, many were brought early anyway but this gives them supervised time earliler.

The problem I see is with bus students having to catch a bus before daylight in some areas, at some times during the year.
