  • I think it's great for the VPD to have a Facebook prescence - if done correctly:

    VPD have not created a business account but have used a personal account - hence being able to "friend" them rather than "like" them - this difference might concern some because, depending on your own security settings, the VPD will be allowed to see anything you make public on your own FB profile.

    To see the difference take a look at Houston PD's FB profile and notice the "like" button instead of the "Add as friend" button:

    Now, I am not sure on this point but VPD might actually be in violation of Facebook's Terms of Service for using a personal account this way - perhaps someone can check that out?
