JR, it sounds like you have a sinus infection, very common in South Texas. Sinus infections are kind of dangerous since they are an infection right next to the brain....so a doctor told me many years ago.
1. 4-Way Saline nasal spray (comes in a blue and white box), buy a couple gallons - just kidding. But use it regularly you need to keep the sinus cavities flushed out.
2. Nasonex, it's a steroid that opens up the nasal passages. Use the nasonex first followed with the saline spray - need a prescription for the nasonex.
3. Once you get a sinus infection you will have it for life, so using the saline spray will have to be a daily occurence, the nasonex you will need only occasionaly after a while..
4. And finally if it's really bad you will need an antibiotic. But be careful some of the bacteria are resistant to certain brands and actually thrive on them - that can happen and you will become aware of that within a day or two.
That sounds like a GREAT remedy, haha.
Té caliente and a shot of tequila!
