Ranging reporter J.R. Ortega talked with the group of early birds at Ramsey's Restaurant as they enjoyed their warm breakfasts and hot coffees.
Several days have passed since President Hasni Mubarak has stepped down as president of Egypt and the ranging reporters were curious if people in the Crossroads thought Egypt was on its way to to a better government.
Here is what they had to say:
"Yeah. Without him, they are probably going to elect a democratic leader."
Tony Tondre, Payne Springs, fuel technician
"In spite of him being a dictator, he was a friend of our country. They've got to be careful who they choose."
Martin Garza, Corpus Christi, retired real estate owner
"I hate it because he was one of our allies but whose to know if it's going to be a better situation."
Sherry Krogsgaard, Victoria, housewife
"They still have a long way to go. There is too much going on over there."
Sue De La Garza, Victoria, Ramsey's cook
