  • That should have been "stupor." Obviously, I haven't recovered. =P

  • Wait a minute. I DID have the flu or something last year. I remember several days of a drug induced stooper which I spent right here on the Vicad forums. =P You guys took my mind off of my pain.

  • I'm probably going to regret saying this, but I haven't had the flu in years. I don't get the shots. Now, I am more prone to severe sinus infections. D= (But, not since I bought a Neti Pot.)

  • I get them...sure it is not 100% and that is because it does not do EVERY strain, and even some years odd strains not predicted come out. Sure I wonder how they are able to predict a break out of certain strains...but eh insurance pays for it, and instead of every year (sometimes twice a year) I have only gotten it a couple times in the last decade. To each their own.

  • Since I'm a type II diabetic, it's best that I get the flu shot because I'm more susceptible to viral infections and the erratic blood sugar levels the flu causes. It's a good thing they are painless.

  • NO, don't get flu shot. The last time I had the flu is the one year I took the flu shot. Sometimes I think we are doing our immune system a great disservice by not letting it do it's job once in awhile.
Now, of course, if someone's immune system is weak, or they are older, or have other health issues, by all means, get the shots.
