That was very touching and insightful. The glam of the job shines over the bad..but the bad is sometimes more impacting than the good. I would give anything to forget that day, and twice as much to not move forward in what we all have to do next.
No doubt that what you experienced yesterday was traumatic. The events you witnessed will have lasting effects on both your heart and mind. I personally knew not one person linked to any of the fatalities yesterday, yet wept as if I did. I felt your heartache and saw the visions in your reporting as vividly as you saw it standing 10 feet away. I pray for all suffering from yesterday's tragedies, including you.
