The photo above is the sunset view from my apartment in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

According to my calculations, it has been 89 days since I've seen my home in Port Lavaca. I have no idea when I will get a chance to see it again, although I'm thinking that a trip home at Christmas might be in the works. Still, thinking of home has me thinking of a few things that I really, really miss about it (in no particular order).

  1. breakfast tacos
  2. steering wheel on the left, right side of the road, signal lights, and roads long and smooth enough to allow for the use of cruise control
  3. fast food
  4. well stocked grocery stores
  5. midnight trips to Walmart
  6. bookstores and libraries
  7. deliveries that arrive 2 days after purchase
  8. online ordering of pizza
  9. using my iPhone
  10. mornings on Lavaca Bay
