Advocate reporter Brandon Leonard spotted this Gawker story arguing that newspaper shouldn't allow comments to its news articles. What do you think?

Personally, I've found a lot of value in readers adding tips and insights into our coverage. The community conversation we have online can be invigorating and interesting. On the other hand, some comments can be hateful and harmful.

Life would be simpler without article comments. Would it be better?
