    I hope you find enough else in the newspaper all of the other days to make a subscription worth the very low price. In terms of the historic event not mattering because the immigrants' final destination was not Victoria (or maybe not even Houston), I'm not sure I see the logic in that view. Is illegal immigration not of interest here? Do deaths that occur here not matter? Should the volunteer work of Victoria resident Richard Streeter not be recognized?

  • As the series continues, the paying a the renewal for the Advocate diminishes.
    I might point out that the horrible "event" happened on the way to Houston. It was only discovered in Victoria.
