Should we sell papers in Brazosport?

I don't know Brazosport resident Banjo Jones, but I want to thank him for recognizing the Advocate on his blog.

He saluted us for our recognition this week from the national Associated Press Managing Editors. The Advocate was a finalist in Online Convergence for its multimedia presentation of the "Fatal Funnel" series and received a First Amendment citation for its work on "Law and Disorder" and the passage of a shield law for journalists.

If Mr. Jones read us daily, he probably would find quite a few flaws, too. For one moment, though, we'll celebrate all of the hard work that went into this honor. I am privileged to work with all of the talented people in this newsroom and for the Advocate's family owners.
