Blogs » Your Advocate: an editor's blog » How do you keep up with your Advocate away from home?

While on vacation in Omaha last month, I enjoyed reading the Advocate almost as if I were holding the newspaper at my breakfast table in Victoria.

I was reading a test version of our new digital edition. Now, you can, too.

You'll find the link to our e-edition at the bottom of our home page. We encourage you to try the service during the free introductory period this month.

Starting Sept. 1, the service will remain free to print subscribers. For those who say our Web site is not enough like the print edition, this is an excellent solution. You'll even hear a swooshing noise as you turn the page.

If you want to receive only the digital edition, you may do so for $8.50 a month. We expect most will still prefer the print edition delivered to their home, but this could be just the right option for those receiving mail delivery or traveling.

We hope you'll take the digital edition out for a test drive and let us know what you think.
