Please say hello to our newest Ranging Reporter

I'm pleased to introduce to you J.R. Ortega, the Advocate's newest Ranging Reporter.
J.R. comes to us from the University of Texas-Pan American, where he was editor-in-chief of the student newspaper there. He also has experience working for publications in the McAllen area.
I'm sure J.R. will bring new ideas and energy into the newsroom and our community. You'll see him out at coffee shops and restaurants in the mornings and ranging down to Calhoun County. His beat also will include health, so let him know if you have any story suggestions.
We've been pleased with how well the community has received our Ranging Reporters, who take their laptops and digital cameras out and meet with our readers. If you'd like to have a Ranging Reporter visit your favorite gathering spot, let us know.

CJ when I sign on at work I see a double video on the main page some times it's the same one

We regularly publish in the paper where the Ranging Reporters are going, but you make a good point that we should have them post online more in advance, too. Thanks.
