I'm honored to attend the Reynolds Journalism Institute's ethics and values forum this week at the University of Missouri.

For two days, journalists and educators from across the country will be discussing ways to maintain and build the public trust in journalism. Even during a time of tremendous change, this trust must remain a north star guiding our decisions.

We opened our meeting Sunday night with a video about Walter Williams' "The Journalist's Creed." We'll be talking Monday and Tuesday about what these words mean in the digital age.

I'll be presenting results of our online credibility survey. If you haven't already, please read about our suvey at While there, I hope you'll click on the link for joining our new electronic reader advisory board.
