I want to bring to your attention a powerful story by reporter Erica Rodriguez and multimedia intern Drew Stewart.
In case you missed it, their story is about a father fighting to stay strong for his family. As the father of a 15-year-old and 12-year-old, I felt connected to Craig Fox and his struggle against ALS. My heart goes out to him and his 15-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter.
Print readers might have missed the video, but I encourage all to go online to view it. The Fox family welcomed us into their home to show how they deal with the deadly disease. Many thanks to them for helping to educate our community.
We plan to revisit the family during the next year or so to continue the touching story.

It was indeed a heart-breaking story, and well written. A story that makes us realize how fragile life is.

I taught my children the road of life is an adventure. We never know what is right around the corner or over the ridge, the road of life is no always smooth and at times it will be full of potholes. Even when life is full of potholes, if we look closely we will see the beauty of God. It is the adventure that makes life worth living.
Death is just moving into a new room, which the door shutting behind you with never open again.
