  • Mike,
Yes, I saw a photo of flooding along Monterrey Street. Not sure whether any of that water reached the homes along there, though. Glad you enjoyed the coverage. We'll have more in Sunday's Advocate. Hope you get the digital edition.

  • I just saw the flood pictures on Facebook, then read the Advocate story. I had no idea of the flooding. We just moved from Monterrey Street last week to Tyler.
    Were any homes flooded there?
    Thanks for your great coverage!

  • Hey, Sugar--

Victoria is the hot topic on the Weather Channel. Reporting 8" in 24 hours.

  • Oh, wow, I had no idea. I just now was looking at some of those pics. It sure is a different story here in Lavaca county. We don't even have puddles in our yard yet. But we did get some beneficial rain. Dad said we got about 1-1/2 inches yesterday. Haven't measured yet today, but I was awakened by a loud clap of thunder early this morning and some rather heavy rainfall for a short period of time.

I know we really need the rain, but not all at once, please!

  • Yes, flooding all across Victoria. Rain seems centered here. Not getting any reports of significant flooding outside Victoria County. Lots of images posted to Your Photos. Full report in Sunday's Advocate. Thanks to all for sharing your pictures and calling in reports.

  • Whoops posted that too soon. I meant to add that I know we live a county away, but I haven't seen any flooding around these parts. Is it flooding in Victoria?
