    That's certainly the reasoning for the Post's policy against reporters doing anything illegal in the course of reporting a story. Weingarten knew he was breaking this rule and maintained it was a victimless crime. That's certainly a debatable point.

  • Well a little pot isn't really going to harm you. If it's free, is good stuff, and you don't get caught I say get after it.

    It isn't a gateway drug like some want it to be. You won't be like Tony Montana snorting a table full of Yayo a week later.

  • I appreciate the observation, Storyteller. Storyteller Gene Weingarten said he was more than familiar with the effects of marijuana and was not personally troubled by inhaling. He also said he thought he could accurately continue reporting.
    Of course, that's an interesting judgment call.

  • I think only if he or she smokes pot anyway. A reporter shouldn't do something they wouldn't normally do, to get a story
