  • There are many things that may create danger for our children. This picture isn't one of them. I don't think the pictures of women from the National Geographic of the past years caused rapists to pursue their evil deeds in Africa. Photography is part of journalism.

  • What kind of parents raise children ignorant of the past tense? Or of the difference between two, too, and to? Cute baby pictures are the least of our worries.

  • I can see both sides of this. It is a really cute picture and quite innocent. Sadly, we do live in a day we have to worry about those darn perverts and crime. You see this same thing on commercials and television shows. I guess I never have thought to find out what exempts child nudity....is it the intent? Lord knows you could not, nor would want to, show my butt bared on the beach.

  • Chris,

When I looked at the photo I thought of the number of times I have seen something like it on Hallmark cards and so many others.

The letter attached is another issue. It tells me we are in a world that has turned it's back on the sweetness of our children. That is sad and will leave deep scars on the next generation.

  • That's a picture for the family photo album. I wouldn't have offered it for publication. But I also don't think child predators are perusing the pages of the local paper looking for their jollies.
