We've produced more than 3,000 videos in the past two years. That number may surprise you, if you still think of only the ink-on-paper version of your Advocate.

The digital revolution provides exciting opportunities for us to expand the ways we deliver news, information and advertising to you. When the Victoria College shooting happened last week, our reporters had video posted to our website within the hour -- and we're working to get even faster with breaking news.

We're learning as we go. To promote this adoption of what we call "Digital DNA," we recently staged an internal video contest for all employees. We want people to have fun while learning new skills. If people have fun at work, odds are they'll be more creative and energized and happier -- essentially, better workers. All of this supports our new slogan: Innovate. Educate. Advocate.

In that spirit, we share here the finalists of our contest. The first two are silly, as you'll see, and the last two show what we can do for our advertisers and audience.
