I fist-pumped this morning when a co-worker asked me if I was excited it's Election Day.

Yes, all journalists love big news days. That excitement combines with the overwhelming sense of relief all of us feel about having a long election season finally end.

We'll start updating election results as soon as the polls close at 7 p.m. This will be the primary spot where we report Victoria County results. All of our election stories will route to Election Central.

We also will set up separate results pages for each of our surrounding Crossroads counties: Calhoun, Jackson, Goliad, DeWitt and Lavaca. Our ranging reporters will be stationed in each of these counties, along with at the Victoria elections office.

We have extended our print deadlines to get the latest information to you, so Wednesday's delivery may be later than normal. We ask for your patience with our carriers.

Of course, we will be updating our website all day and night. The online deadlines never stop.

We hope you'll add to our coverage by sending your photos of voting to share@VictoriaAdvocate.net or uploading them directly to Your Photos. If you're on Twitter, we encourage you to use #VAElections for your Tweets. You may follow all of our Tweets through our CoverIt Live feed here.

Of course, we want Wednesday's print edition to be a keepsake. A dynamite headline is a key to that. What headline would you write if Romney wins? If Obama wins?

If you suggest the winning headline, I'll buy lunch.
