Lucha Libre comes to Victoria Community Center

Rudy Russo begins to punch Ben Galvan during the the tag team match between Russo, Papi C, Galvan and Mr. Prestigious.

The roaring sound of cheering will elevate the adrenaline on stage that will bring the crowds what they want – body slams and intense wrestling.

Crossroads audiences can view lucha libre when 2G Promotions presents Pro-Wrestling on Sunday at the Victoria Community Center.

“People want to be entertained and want to see wrestlers upfront and in person,” said Martin Gonzalez, event organizer. “It’s live, instead of on TV.”

Gonzalez said wrestlers from throughout the country and the world will be present at the event.

The main event will feature Martin Casaus, known by his Lucha Underground name “Marty the Moth” and Matt Cross known as “Son of Havoc.”

Gonzalez said past wrestling events in Victoria have attracted crowds from 300 to 500 in size.

“We hope to bring the event to Victoria every three to four months,” he said. “So come have a good night of wrestling, enjoy the concessions and merch booths. Take a picture with the wrestlers.”
