Hallettsville second baseman Kenzi Lange sprints toward first base during the fifth inning of the UIL Class 3A semifinal game against Danbury Wednesday at Red & Charline McCombs Field in Austin.

Area players were named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State team on Monday.

In Class 2A, Shiner’s Cameron Cowan and Taylor Wenske were selected after leading the Lady Comanches to the regional quarterfinals.

Refugio’s Heather Wineman, Weimar freshman Skylar Heger and Woodsboro sophomore Briyana Cuellar were also chosen to the all-state team.

Four Hallettsville athletes were chosen in Class 3A. Rylee Trlicek, Hannah Bludau, Kenzi Lange and Julie Michalcik were selected after leading the Lady Brahmas to the UIL Class 3A state final.

Also selected in Class 3A was Karnes City’s Reagan Johnson, Tessa Ramirez and Schulenburg’s Macey Thompson.

Moulton’s Breanna Burger and Hannah Siegel were chosen in Class 1A.
