Victoria Hurricanes football team

Football games have been played under any number of conditions.

But it's virtually impossible to play a game in the dark.

A power outage, which left Memorial Stadium without lights, forced the Victoria Hurricanes and Austin Vipers to suspend Saturday night's Crossroads Amateur Football League playoff game at halftime.

The game will resume at 5 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Stadium.

The Hurricanes lead 6-0 thanks to a 20-yard touchdown pass from Cordero "Showtime" Williams to Shawn Bryant that came after a blocked punt.

The Hurricanes preserved the lead when Laken Williams intercepted a pass at the 1-yard line just before halftime.
