Longtime Karnes City track and field coach Donnie Dziuk will retire at the end of the school year. 

KARNES CITY — Kyle Armstrong coached the girls basketball team at Karnes City for two years before coming back to coach the boys last season.

Cook, 39, will replace Donnie Dziuk, who will coach track and field before retiring at the end of the school year, according to Karnes City athletic director Jim Wood.

In their second seasons leading Karnes City and Nixon-Smiley, Donnie Dzuik and Troy Moses hope to lead their teams in a playoff push.
