Veteran actress Sean Young whose memorable films include Blade Runner(1982), Dune (1984), No Way Out (1987), Wall Street (1987), and Cousins (1989), will be honored with a Remi Career Achievement Award at the 48th Annual Worldfest - Houston International Independent Film Festival prior to the screening of her new film, "Leaves of the Tree."
The Remi Award is named after artist Frederic Remington, famous for his paintings and sculptures depicting the cowboy way of life in Texas and The West. Past recipients of the award include Catherine Deneuve, Randal Kleiser, Timothy Dalton, and Michael York.
Young has appeared in over 70 films and at the age of 55 she hasn't slowed down, IMDB notes that the actress has 4 films in pre-production and 4 in post-production.
Her latest film, "Leaves of the Tree" opens the Worldfest Film Festival with a screening Friday April 10 at the AMC Studio 30, 2949 Dunvale, Houston. There will be an additional screening on Friday April 17 at 9pm.
Whether it's science fiction, comedy, or drama, Young has proved to be a versatile and talented actress who deserves the recognition.
