It's been almost a month since I've written about gaming.
As I've said before, I'm the lone writer for Gamer's Thumb. That, plus many other factors, like working on the daily paper and surviving the holidays, has made the end of this year a slow one for keeping up with gaming.
But do not fear! I don't plan to neglect this project anytime soon. Part of my New Year's resolution is to really pick up on this project.
I've got some pretty cool ideas coming down the pipe in 2018 that I'm rather excited about, and I think our Crossroads community will be excited about it as well.
I plan on doing several giveaways next year on the Gamer's Thumb Facebook page. Since starting the brand, about 50 people have liked the page. I plan to promote this more this coming year.
On top of this social media presence on Facebook and Twitter, I also write a column for our Get Out section two Thursdays out of the month.
Ultimately, I'd like Gamer's Thumb to be a way for Crossroads gamers to connect and talk about gaming, with and without my input.
Of course, I can't do this on my own. Gamer friends dedicated to writing about gaming on sites like Gamespot, Gamezone, IGN and Game Informer really help me stay connected. Without their ability to break gaming news, I would be a bit lost, considering I can't fully dedicate my job to gaming news.
Thanks for going co-op with me, guys.
