The daughters of Kenneth and Suzann Herricks recently hosted a 55th wedding anniversary celebration party for them. Kenneth and Suzann (Starkey) Herricks were married on January 26, 1963 in the First Baptist Church in Victoria, Texas with Reverend W. E. Howard officiating. The Victoria Advocate published an article covering the ceremony. Other members of the wedding party included the maid of honor, Geraldine (Herricks) Miller, best man, Don Jones, and ushers Kenneth Jones and Tom Clark.
Kenneth is a 1956 graduate of Patti Welder High School and a 1965 graduate of Texas A & M University. He worked in the oil industry throughout Texas and had several international assignments. He retired from Marathon Oil Company in 1999 and has resided in Victoria since 2003. Kenneth's parents were the late Herman and Dorothy Herricks formerly of Victoria.
Suzann is the daughter of the late Coy and Avis Starkey of Victoria. She is a 1959 graduate of Victoria High School and a 1962 graduate of Baylor University. She later attended Texas A & I earning a teaching degree. Suzann was a teacher retiring from the Fort Bend School District in 2001.
Those attending the celebration of marriage included the following family members: daughter, Gerri (Herricks) Roberts and husband, Dale and their two sons, Nathan and Nick from Friendswood, Texas; daughter, Tricia (Herricks) Blackwell and husband, Carlon and their son Zach and daughter Ashley from Missouri City, Texas.
Family members not able to attend include a son, Chris Herricks and another granddaughter, Michelle Roberts.
