Jim and Agnes Steelhammer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 17th with a Mass at Saint Mary's Church with a special blessing by the Reverend Dominic Antwi-Boasiako. A dinner with family and friends followed the event in Saint Mary's Church Annex. Agnes Schell and Jim Steelhammer were married on March 2, 1968 at Our Lady of Victory Church. The Reverend Eustace Hermes officiated the ceremony. Children of the couple are Greg Steelhammer and his wife, Lisa , Kevin Steelhammer and Tracy Borgmeyer and her husband Matt.Their grandchildren are Abbey and Ethan Steelhammer and Allie, Andrew and Avery Borgmeyer. Jim and Agnes are native Victorians, graduating from Victoria High School, Victoria College and the University of Houston in Houston. All three of their children graduated from Victoria High School and Texas A & M in College Station. Jim is a State Farm Agent in Victoria and is a member of Lions Club. The couple are active members of Holy Family Church.
