Thomas and Jill Friedel of Victoria are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Brandon Thomas Friedel of Little Rock, AR, formerly of Victoria, Texas to Kelsey Marie Backus of Little Rock, AR, the daughter of Kim and Priscilla Backus of Little Rock, AR. Brandon is the grandson of James and Helen Friedel and Esterleen (Janecka) and Raymond Spann all of Victoria, Texas. 

The wedding will take place at St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock, AR on May 12, 2018.

Brandon attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR where he played four years with the men's basketball team and earned Gulf South Conference Player of the Year and All American Honors his senior year. He graduated with a Master of Arts of Teaching in Health and Physical Education and is the Head Basketball Coach at Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock, AR.

Kelsey graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR with a Master of Arts of Teaching in Early Childhood Education and is Pre-K Teacher at Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock, AR.
