Katelyn Rather and Jordan Buys, both of College Station, were married at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Victoria. Fr. Dominic Antwi-Boasia, of Victoria, officiated the double-ring ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Allen and Susan Rather of Victoria. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Mary Jo Johnston of Victoria and the late Allen and Margaret Rather of Austin.The groom is the son of Ronald and Kathryn Buys of Austin. He is the grandson of the late Rose Marie Lindsay and James Lindsay of College Station and Col. Earl and Ida Buys of Richardson.Jacquelyn Connally of Victoria and Madelyn Greene of Fort Worth, sisters of the bride, attended as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Madison Brazzeal of Colorado Springs, CO, Andrea Smith of Fort Worth, Carley Glover of Austin, Kelsey Barham of San Diego, CA, Morgan Sewalt of Houston, and Lauren Sorenson of Dripping Springs. Caroline Buys, of Katy, served as flower girl.Chris Shinaberry of New Orleans, best friend of the groom, attended as best man. Groomsmen were Collin Buys of Katy, Ryan Buys of Dallas, Augustus Hellerstedt of Phoenix, AZ, Adam Naasz of Los Angeles, CA, Brandon Law of College Station, and Cade Key of Lincoln, NE.Ushers were Patrick Wilson of College Station, Andrew Menke of Cincinnati, OH, and Jake Richards of Stanford.A reception was held at The Club Westerner in Victoria.The couple will travel to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and will reside in College Station.The bride is a 2010 graduate of Memorial High School and a 2013 graduate of Texas A&M University. She is the Manager of Priority Ticketing at the 12th Man Foundation, and will graduate with her Masters in Sports Management in 2017.The groom is a 2008 graduate of Austin High School and 2011 graduate of Texas A&M University. He is a 2016 graduate of Texas A&M's Mays Business School where he recently completed his MBA. Jordan is a Revenue and Pricing Assurance Analyst at Nutrabolt in College Station.
