Court calls for balance in Guadalupe River Basin

An attorney with more than 30 years of experience in environmental law will speak at the next Lavaca Bay Foundation meeting.

Jim Blackburn will share his experiences with environmental projects in the area as well as opportunities for education, advocacy and habitat conservation, according to a news release.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Memorial Medical Center, 815 N. Virginia St. in Port Lavaca. The meeting will be in the community room, which is on the first floor and on the south end of the building near the front door.

At the last foundation meeting, James Dodson discussed the San Antonio Bay Partnership‘s projects and progress.

The foundation is a nonprofit seeking to preserve, protect and enhance the environmental and recreational aspects of Lavaca Bay and its tributaries for all users.
