A 33-year-old Victoria man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, peeping and criminal mischief at a local hospital.

The man, whose name was not available Thursday, was arrested March 24 after he was accused of crawling through the ceiling to peep into the woman's bathroom at DeTar Hospital North for several months, Victoria Police Department Detective John Swenson said.

The hospital installed more security cameras after women reported suspicious activity to hospital security, he added.

"On this particular day, no women were actually observed," Swenson said.

Swenson was not sure how many women may have been observed by the man throughout the months.

The cost of damage to the ceiling is still being evaluated and could increase the man's misdemeanor to a felony, Swenson said.

The case is under review with district attorney's office.
