Theatre Victoria has announced the new lineup for its 2010-11 season under the leadership of new producing artistic director Charles Moster.
"We've designed what we believe to be a wide and varied menu of productions that includes something for young and old and something for the entire family," Moster said in a news release. "And each show is packed with entertainment, from great musicals with terrific songs and plenty of singing and dancing to comedies and dramas that give us all a peek behind the curtain and into the lives of some pretty interesting characters . some more familiar than others."
Kicking off the new season July 23-25 and 29-31 is "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown!" The show is based on the popular comic strip by Charles Schultz.
From Sept. 17-19 and 23-25, the theater will bring to life "Don't Dress For Dinner," the sequel to playwright Marc Camoletti's comedy "Boeing, Boeing."
Next up, from Nov. 12-14 and 18-20, is "Christmas Belles," which focuses on three sisters from Texas.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, from Feb. 11-13 and 17-19, the theater will put on "The Fantasticks," the longest running musical in the world.
Rounding out the season, from April 15-17 and 21-23, will be Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite."
