Corrections and Clarifications

The Aransas Project filed suit in March against Texas Commission on Environmental Quality officials. The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority filed to intervene in the case because it has a legal interest in the suit but not in every case against a state agency. A story that appeared on Page B3 Thursday, April 22, included a river authority official's quote out of context.

Paul Littlefield, president of the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority, said, "We are charged by the state to do the best thing that we feel that we can do with the water that's in our water basin." Littlefield was misquoted in a story on Page B1 on Thursday, April 22.
