Families are encouraged to visit the Texas Zoo on Sunday as Golden Crescent Court-Appointed Special Advocates and the Coalition for Child Abuse Prevention hosts Family Fun Day from 1 to 5 p.m.

The zoo's latest exhibit, the Barbary lion cubs Gaia and Aesa, will be on display for both adults and children to enjoy.

The Texas Zoo is open Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for children 13 and younger and free for children 2 and younger.

Members of Court-Appointed Special Advocates and the coalition will be on hand to provide information about services available in Victoria to protect children, prevent child abuse and assist abused children.

Sunday was also designated as "Blue Sunday," a day when churches across the country remember, reflect and pray for the victims of child abuse.

The day also recognizes those who work to protect children from abuse and assist the victims.
