115 vote in person in city, water, mud election

One-hundred-fifteen people voted in person on Monday during the first day of early voting for the May 8 joint Victoria city council, water and municipal utility districts election.
Also, 455 mail-in ballots were returned, according to a news release from Victoria County election administrator George Matthews' office.
Early voting in person will continue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through May 4. Extended hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and May 4. The main early voting polling location is at the elections office, 111 N. Glass St.
Also on Friday and May 4, the water district offices will host early voting in person from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The offices are: Water Control & Improvement District No. 1 office, 93 Illinois St. in Bloomington; Water Control & Improvement District No. 2 office, 91 Preston St. in Placedo; and Quail Creek Municipal Utility District office, 515 Chukar.
