Advocate Reporter Erica Rodriguez was in Victoria today talking with residents about their hurricane season plans. Here's what you all had to say:

A: "Drink heavily."

Lee Ferguson, Victoria resident, landman

A: "We usually call a relative that's up north and ask, 'Do you have room?'"

Josie Leos, Victoria resident, teaching assistant

A: "We have wood that's already cut and numbered, so we know where it goes up and emergency packing stuff. That and pray - pray that if we go to Houston it doesn't follow us."

Sarah Rush, Victoria resident, teacher

A: "Nothing. I stay in my own house. I don't prepare."

Mary Hoch, Hallettsville resident, lead career consultant Workforce Center

A: "I don't have a plan. When they tell us to leave I pack up and evacuate."
