One man was seriously injured after a Wednesday evening motorcycle-truck collision at the intersection of Loop 463 and Airline Road.
Around 6:15 p.m., a motorcyclist traveling east on Loop 463 was struck by a blue Mitsubishi truck that was attempting to make a left turn onto Loop 463 from Airline Road, said Victoria Police Sgt. Erica Padilla.
Padilla said the Mitsubishi, possibly in a failed attempt to avoid the motorcycle, then struck a green Chevrolet truck that was stopped at the stop sign on Loop 463 waiting to turn left onto Airline Road.
The motorcyclist was taken via ambulance to Citizen's Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
As of Wednesday evening, not much was known about the motorcyclist's identity other than he was a young male.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
One occupant from the Mitsubishi, which held three teenage females, was taken to Detar Hospital.
The extent of her injuries was unknown.
The Chevrolet had a male driver.
The names of all parties involved with the accident were unknown as of Wednesday evening.
Padilla said everyone was wearing their seatbelts.
The accident shut down several traffic lanes for more than an hour.
Eastbound lanes on Loop 463 from Ben Jordan Street to Airline Road were closed, as well as Airline Road from Loop 463 to John Stockbauer Drive.
The accident is still under investigation.
