Nursing home employee arrested for video recordings

PORT LAVACA - A nursing home employee has been arrested on warrants charging her with three counts of injury to the elderly or disabled by exploitation.
Felicia Tramaine Williams, 30, of Edna, is suspected of making "improper video recordings" of residents at the Port Lavaca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, according to a Port Lavaca Police Department news release.
The release said Williams was terminated as a result of an internal investigation at the nursing home and that the findings of the investigation were turned over to the police department.
Williams was arrested in Jackson County and transferred to Calhoun County.
The charges are a third-degree felony and carry a total bond of $130,000.
