As the 37th season of the Victoria Symphony gets ready to kick off, the third annual Victoria Symphony League Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show will be Sept. 29.
Tickets are already on sale and going fast, publicity chairman Suzanne Foertsch said.
The theme for this year's event is "Come Style With Me" and will have a retro vibe complete with the music of Frank Sinatra and others from that era by Michael Teer and Dana Smith, she added.
In addition to a homemade lunch made by members of the league, desserts will be donated by Yummy Finds of Victoria.
And what would any fashion show be without the latest fashions? The show will feature outfits from local boutiques such as Carriage House, Foster Creek Station, Days Gone Bye, Doncaster, Double D Ranchwear, Palm Tree, Pidder Padder, Rodeo Gypsy and Rendezvous.
There will also be a silent auction with baskets and donations.
This year, the event will be at the newly built Spring Creek Place Event Center.
"We are very excited about our new venue and about the involvement of the Victoria community by way of donations, providing beautiful tablescapes and wonderful support for the Victoria Symphony League and Victoria Symphony Orchestra," Foertsch said.
Tickets are $35 and all proceeds from the event will go to the orchestra for players, education and music, among other things.
Tickets can be purchased at the Cultural Council of Victoria office or by calling 361-572-2787.
