Senator Hegar to speak at Republican Women of Yoakum meeting

YOAKUM - State Sen. Glenn Hegar will speak at the Wednesday meeting of the Republican Women of Yoakum.
Hegar is the youngest member of the Texas Senate and a sixth-generation Texan who farms on land that has belonged to his family since the mid-1800s.
Hegar serves as the Sunset Advisory Commission chairman, chairman of the Legislative Sportman's Caucus, and vice chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources.
Hegar will speak on the upcoming legislative session and the fall elections. There will be a question-and-answer session following his speech.
The public is invited to come and ask questions.
The meeting will be at the Yoakum Community Center at 11:45 a.m. Lunch will be served.
