Thumbs-up to the Victoria Police Department's "Operation Moody."

More of these check point stop operations are needed in and around our city. Thank you VPD.

John, Victoria

Thumbs-up to Advocate writer Dianna Wray for the outstanding article about the sailor whose remains were discovered and connected with his family. The graphics accompanying the article were also commendable. It should be nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

Patrick, Victoria

Thumbs-up to Victoria College student Gracie DeLao's letter on Nov. 27, regarding illegal immigration. She said it so simply but yet eloquently, "Illegals put Americans at risk for disease, loss of jobs, and paying higher taxes for their care."

Thumbs-down to rude people. I was in a store the other day, and another customer pushed me aside to get checked out. Then, the clerk ignored me when it was my turn, and she walked off. What happened to being polite and considerate?
