The three family members who were shot by a fourth family member late Wednesday night were all in stable condition Friday.
Wanda Mathis, 59, the wife of Billy Mathis, who shot the three and then killed himself, was in stable condition at Citizens Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said.
Analisa Kitchens, 17, Billy Mathis' granddaughter, was also listed in stable condition at Citizens Medical Center.
Jim Ray Kitchens, 38, Billy Mathis' stepson, was airlifted to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi and his condition was still unknown because the hospital has him listed as confidential.
However, a family friend, who asked that her name not be printed, said he was off a ventilator and in stable condition.
The Victoria County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the shooting.
